Storage tanks are designed to breathe, but today that breathing can quickly turn into emissions exposure, product loss, and compliance risk as venting limits tighten (OVG/DVG) and VOC Phase 2 accelerates the shift toward controlled, auditable tank systems. This session examines where vapour losses really originate from and why the difference between controlled and uncontrolled tanks matters more than ever. We’ll explore how small issues like setpoint spacing, device coordination, and tank‑top equipment selection can quietly drive venting events, LDAR findings, and missed compliance targets. Attendees will leave with a practical “measure, monitor, verify” mindset and an assessment‑to‑compliance roadmap that fits naturally into outage and inspection cycles such as API 653, translating directly to safer, more reliable, and more compliant tank operations.
OT cybersecurity conversations too often end in paralysis, too many threats, too much complexity with no clear starting point. This extended workshop takes a different approach: less talk, more action.

In the first half, we use live participant polling and real assessment data to expose where OT visibility and governance gaps exist across Western Canadian industrial operations. A risk-based framework will be introduces for prioritizing what to fix first.

In the second half, we put that framework to the test. In a hands-on crisis simulation, developed with Fortinet's OT security team, you'll step into a live cyber incident.  You will navigate critical decisions to stop an attack escalating from initial remote access compromise to facility operational impact.  This isn't a presentation, It's a pressure test of how your organization would respond when it matters most.  Can you save the plant? Leave with a clear picture of where you stand, where to start, and what effective incident response actually looks like in practice.

** Please note this session runs for 1.5 hours.**
