Mark Brown
Mark Brown is the Chief Operating Officer at ATCO EnPower, a global organization, part of Canadian Utilities Ltd. and the ATCO Group of Companies.
In this role, Mark is responsible for the delivery of ATCO EnPower’s projected growth while maintaining reliable operations nationwide. At ATCO EnPower, he and the team remain focused on energy transition with renewable energy solutions, energy storage and water facilities, as well as hydrogen, ammonia and carbon capture sequestration projects to empower a sustainable future. He is also the Chair of ATCO’s DE&I Centre of Excellence and is a passionate Male Ally in the Workplace, receiving the Male Champion Award in 2023 from the Canadian Influential Women in Business.
For over 25 years, Mark’s career has been spent in various leadership roles in the energy, infrastructure, and technical services sectors. His time has been spent in engineering, construction, project management, fabrication, and corporate portfolios throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Mark participates in the Construction Industry Institute (CII), is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA), and is a member of the Board of Directors for Hull Services and the Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA). He enjoys pushing for new innovations, challenging the status quo, engaging in the community, and spending time with his family in the great outdoors.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria and maintains his Professional Engineering (P.Eng) certification in Alberta.
