Arif Mustafa
Arif brings over 30+ years of experience at various roles / levels in the Industrial Automation space across various industries.
He manages a very strategic Project Pursuit Program and is part of the Global Sales Leadership team at Emerson. Arif has been in this role since Oct 2026. Most recently, he served 5 years as Vice President, Gulf Coast NA and managing Projects for the Americas. Arif relocated back to Houston in 2020 after serving 10 years with Emerson in the Middle East & Africa region.
In his current role, Arif manages a Global Project Pursuit team across Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia. The Global Capital Projects space and associated CAPEX spend is very strategic to continued Emerson success on how we serve our clients and customers. Emerson is proud to offer best in class technology, ranging from Instruments, Final Control Elements, Control Systems, ICSS coupled with Advanced Software solutions to help clients with their Business Enterprise software needs. Moreover, this team of professionals works closely with EPCs around the globe whereby Emerson may serve as a critical automation partner through a Main Automation Contractor (MAC) or a Main Instrument & Valves (MIV) supplier.
Arif made a significant impact for Emerson in the Middle East through his leadership style and by driving steady business growth. He played an important role in setting up the Emerson team in Kuwait and worked diligently to streamline the Qatar and Iraq market strategy that has yielded significant growth in Emerson business and moreover developed close collaborative relationships at many different levels with our customers in the Region. Arif managed an Emerson region with 125+ professionals spanning Qatar, Kuwait & Iraq reporting into the President of Emerson Automation Solutions, Middle East & Africa.
He has a Bachelor’s degree, class of 1994 Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University, KS. Arif has completed a leadership program from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business in 2015 and a graduate of the Emerson Leadership Program in 2020.
Arif currently sits on the Advisory Board at Rice University, Center for Career Development since 2022.
Arif resides in Houston with his wife, Dana and has three daughters and a son.
