The mission of Spartan Controls safety process is to provide a safe and health work environment and encourage everyone to work safely through communication, education and participation.

Safety Results

Spartan is part of the Partners in Injury Reduction program and has been ranked # 1 by WCB in our industry class. In 2019, Spartan had a Total Recordable Injury Frequency of 0.40 and zero lost time.

Safety in Our Communities

Safety at Spartan does not stop at the end of the work day. Spartans are personally connected and committed to health and safety all day, every day.

Spartans safety culture is contagious and it lives in our communities.
  • Spartans use Stop and Think, they speak up when they see unsafe conditions, they choose to not look the other way.
  • Through their experiences they provide personal safety moments that they want to share across the organization.
Spartan Controls has a long standing relationship with St. John Ambulance. Spartans and their families take specialized first aid training, babysitting courses, and car seat courses offered through the St. John Ambulance.

Spartan has been a supporter of STARS Air Ambulance for a number of years. STARS actively monitors Spartans who are deployed to remote locations in western Canada 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In the event there is an emergency STARS can respond rapidly.
