Previous flat OT network deployments had led to operational challenges at other facilities, highlighting the need for a more structured and secure approach. For this remote greenfield site, reliable remote access was required to support multiple vendors and applications, while maintaining strong cybersecurity controls. In addition, wireless integration was needed to support operational activities, including rail car unloading controllers.
