Condensate Control

One of the most important pieces of equipment in a power plant is the condenser, which is responsible for providing a high vacuum environment where turbine exhaust steam can be condensed and where condensate can be collected and returned to the steam generator. Condensate pumps must be protected from overheating and cavitation to avoid high maintenance costs, unplanned downtime and production inefficiencies.

The Fisher Cav4 control valve with Cavitrol IV trim is designed specifically for liquid applications, such as boiler feedwater recirculation, where pressure drops are above 207 bar (3000 psi) and cavitation is a serious problem.
Cavitrol III trims are used for cavitating liquid applications in various globe and angle valve bodies, including the Easy-E, EH and HP product lines.
Fisher’s next generation control valve is a compact state of the art control valve and actuator system designed to control a wide range of processes. Reduced complexity gives fewer spare parts for easier maintenance. The compact design exists in a smaller envelope and is lighter weight with a field reversible actuator.
