New VOIP Phones coming to the Calgary office in November

Spartan Controls is implementing a new Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone system across our company.  VOIP technology converts voice calls from analog to digital signals that are then sent over digital data networks. The system has already been running in our Saskatchewan locations since June and will be coming to the Calgary office in November.  Our remaining locations will be converted next year.

Spartan's investment in an upgraded phone system is part of our ongoing commitment to high levels of quality customer service. By deploying a state-of-the-art VOIP system, Spartan will be moving toward a "converged" network, where voice and data work together to provide an effective communications platform for current and future customer service applications.

Capillary lines in cold climates have always presented annoying and expensive problems when ensuring temperature and signal stability. Huge swings in ambient conditions combined with poorly installed heat tracing and insulation are root causes of field device drifts and inaccuracies. O'Brien and Spartan can now provide CAPPAK, a pre-engineered weatherproof heat traced capillary system, that reduces installation time and ensures a stable temperature profile. This will improve reliability, safety and measurement performance.

Plants are built over decades, and that usually means companies have to integrate multiple different generations of control systems often including different types and generations of process historians. This makes it difficult to advance historian technology without either making previous investments obsolete or undertaking a major migration. Now there's a solution that ends all that - business intelligence software designed specifically for manufacturers from Incuity Software.
