To better serve growing customer requirements in Alberta, Emerson is expanding it’s Edmonton based Instrument & Valve Services (I&VS) facility.  Emerson offers customers valve and trim repair and manufacturing all in accordance with Fisher‘s strict procedures and specifications ensuring products meets Fisher’s high product performance standards.  I&VS also offers comprehensive Rosemount transmitter repair as well as remote seal filling and assembly.

The expansion will better enable I&VS to handle the largest of control valve shutdowns and at the same time manage rush and/or emergency repairs.  Significant workflow process improvements, documentation enhancements and the introduction of a new, asset management driven repair reporting system will enhance Emerson’s ability to provide long term support for customer’s assets.

Emerson will be adding staff, manufacturing machinery and equipment as part of the expansion.  The facility improvements are expected to be complete in late 2007.
