Furnace Feed

Coker furnace feed applications are challenging because of the erosive flow, high temperature, and composition of the hydrocarbon. 

Spartan solutions in this application have been fine-tuned over many years to address these challenges. Specifically, the Fisher V500 furnace feed valve was designed with direct customer feedback to address erosive flows at high temperature. The Fisher Digital Valve Controller keeps the flow rate tightly controlled, while Rosemount Vortex flow meteres are resistant to clogging, are suited for high temperature and are immune to coating. Additionally, Spartan’s solution allows you to fine tune the combustion process with O2 and CO measurements using analyzers from Rosemount Analytical. 

The Fisher V500 eccentric plug rotary control valve controls erosive, coking and other hard-t-handle fluids, providing either throttling or on-off operation. The flanged and flangeless valves feature streamlined flow passages, rugged metal trim components and a self-centering seat ring.
The Fisher 461 Sweep-Flo valve, is a self-cleaning, increased outlet, angle valve that features a venturi-type throat, which is useful where high pressure drops, slurries or flashing might exist. It is typically used in the hydrocarbon, power and chemical industries.
The FIELDVUE DVC6200 is a digital valve controller capable of operating using 4-20 mA, HART, Fieldbus, or Profibus communication protocols. The basis of its operation is the conversion of a control signal into a pneumatic output controlling valve position.
