Alkylation

Alkylation, the conversion of isobutene and alkenes (primarily propene and butane) into a gasoline component requires precise and exacting control of the catalyst, SAAU (Sulphuric Acid Alkylation Unit) or HFAU (Hydrofluoric Acid Alkylation Unit).  Fluid catalytic cracking is a critical conversion process, dependent on accurate flow rate and pressure control for the production of the desired gasoline, alkene gases and other products.  Equipment and products durable for inhospitable and corrosive conditions is paramount to maintaining safety and environmental criterion.

Spartan offers flow and pressure control technologies that deliver the accuracy, reliability and performance that ensures safe and optimal performance of an alkylation unit.  The superior performance of Monel constructed Fisher accumulated acid and acid feed valves are further enhanced with Spartan applied technology and solutions for prevention of accidental leakage of hydrofluoric acid.  The reduction of possible, yet significant, environmental upset and health risk provides an alkylation unit with the opportunity to safely produce high yielding valuable alkene products.  Spartan solutions and products safeguard assets for their reliable availability.
