Green Liquor

Green liquor is a corrosive fluid that leaves scale deposits on the internal components of control valves causing the valve to bind resulting in poor flow control and over time can prevent the valve from closing. This scale build up on the valve internals can become so severe that costly process downtime is required to clean the scale out of the valve.
The internal components and flow passage of the CV500 are designed to reduce scale build up. The V-notch ball cams into and out of the seat minimizing contact with the sea and the binding that can occur from scale buildup. When the V-notch ball cams into the seat scale build up on the surface of the ball is removed enabling positive shut off reducing costly process downtime.
The Fisher V500 eccentric plug rotary control valve controls erosive, coking and other hard-to-handle fluids, providing either throttling or on-off operation.
