Liquid Blending

Over blending of high cost blend fluids such as condensate to reduce the density & viscosity of crude oil can contribute to a significant portion of a facilities operating costs. Blending skids are intended to reduce operating costs and meet delivery point contract requirements or crude oil standards required by receipt point pipelines.

Rosemount's Micro Motion Coriolis technology provides custody transfer accuracy of flow and density from a single device. Density measurement is commonly used in the blending process to meet a specific density target of the 2 blended fluids with the end goal of maintaining a very tight accuracy of blend to minimize blending costs. Rosemount's Micro Motion Viscometer can be used when the facility is blending to a defined maximum viscosity in order to meet delivery point and/or pipeline process fluid quality standards.

ROC 800L
Emerson’s ROC800L is a flexible yet easy to configure powerful flow computer that utilizes the well-known and reliable ROC800 platform. The ROC800L is capable of measurement and control of six liquid and six gas meter runs in a single flow computer. It is able to complete calculations for API Groups A, B, C, D, and E as well as custom liquid calculations when physical characteristics of the products are known.
The Vee-Ball valve combines globe valve ruggedness with the efficiency of a rotary valve. A shearing action between the V-notch ball and the ball seal promotes smooth, non-clogging operation. The unrestricted straight-through flow design provides high capacity for gas, steam, liquids, and fibrous slurries.
