Secondary Upgrading

Secondary upgrading focuses on removing residual impurities such as sulphur from the final process stream, and adding hydrogen to recover high-value products like diesel, gas-oil, kerosene or naphtha. These applications are challenging due to the high process temperature, low ambient conditions, and the difficulty in accurately measuring process levels using traditional level measurement techniques.

The Rosemount 848T FOUNDATION™ fieldbus temperature transmitter simplifies and reduces the cost of a plant’s process control architecture replacing traditional temperature monitoring methods with a safe, eight input transmitter that mounts close to the process.
