Ammonia Production

Ammonia (NH3), synthesized from a hydrogen source is a key part of the chemical and agricultural industries.

It is widely used in various fertilizers in order to enhance crop growth and increase production. Shale gas is creating a competitive advantage for North American manufacturers because of the reduced cost of feedstock. Making ammonia includes: feed preparation; reaction for reform, gas generation and shift conversion; purification; and separation.

Spartan Controls’ ammonia production control valve solutions are built for effective process modulation through each of these steps. Our local experts will aide in the proper selection of control valves with entrained liquid removal, low-leak packing, noise attenuation and high performance.

Fisher
The Fisher E-body globe control valve family has industry leading technical features and can be configured to handle virtually any challenging process condition. Fisher E-bodies feature multiple quick change trim choices in an unmatched variety of material choices, flow characterizations and CV selections to suit a variety of service conditions.
Fisher ENVIRO-SEAL and HIGH-SEAL live-loaded packing systems offer exceptional stem sealing capabilities. These systems easily install in your existing valves or can be purchased with new valves. ENVIRO-SEAL and HIGH-SEAL packing systems help seal your process to conserve valuable process fluid and protect the environment against the emission of hazardous or polluting fluids.
Fisher WhisperFlo trim is a concept in multi-path, multistage, acoustic energy management that reduces valve-caused aerodynamic noise by as much as 40 dBA. The performance capability of WhisperFlo trim surpasses conventional noise trims by 5 to 10 dBA and offers a noise attenuation ability that delivers predicted noise levels consistently, avoiding the costly need to recalculate and retrofit valves in order to meet performance promises.
The FIELDVUE DVC6200 is a digital valve controller capable of operating using 4-20 mA, HART, Fieldbus, or Profibus communication protocols. The basis of its operation is the conversion of a control signal into a pneumatic output controlling valve position.
