Community
At Spartan, we are proud of our relationship with our customers and the communities in which we operate. We support our communities through the many Spartans who volunteer and participate in community organizations and through corporate financial contributions.
Spartan Controls' support is focused on programs that enable a healthy work-home balance for the less fortunate and the development and education of youth and families. We look to give a hand-up rather than a hand-out.
Financial Support for Education
Spartan supports technically oriented institutions. In recent years, we have provided generous funds or gifts in kind to such institutions as:

An Investment Partnership with NAIT
We were pleased to announce a partnership investment in the future of Alberta and in the next generation of our instrumentation workforce. Spartan Controls is the major sponsor for a new addition to the Edmonton campus of NAIT – Spartan Centre for Instrumentation Technology.

Spartan Controls has been a significant corporate sponsor to initiatives such as:

United Way
Spartan Controls and our team of Spartans have been consistently recognized for outstanding achievement in supporting the United Way in Alberta. We continuously set new donation totals, and Spartans regularly devote their time and energies to personal actions that make a difference, such as the United Way Days of Caring Program
In simple terms, Spartan is interested in helping youth and families make better lives for themselves.
Calgary Corporate Challenge Blood Donations
Spartans, Spartan family members and friends regularly donate blood for Calgary Corporate Challenge, and have been medal winners for many years. We’re Partners for Life as well, meaning we don’t just donate during Corporate Challenge, but all year long!

When a friend and co-worker was diagnosed with ALS, a team of Spartans joined forces to participate in the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache, Alberta on the August 2008 long weekend, raising thousands of dollars in the spirit of friendship, hope and strength. So successful were their efforts that the team gathered momentum in 2009, and are already gearing up for the grueling 2010 challenge.
