Field Service Technician (Grande Prairie)

Description
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician based out of our Grande Prairie Regional Service Centre. The selected candidate will be tasked with supporting a range of Spartan products related to both Products and Application Solutions to support our customers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supporting natural gas compression control & ignition applications with a focus on products and solutions sold through our Power Ignition & Controls division, such as:
- MPI ignition systems, as well as other manufacturer's ignition systems
- Ignition system components such as harnesses, plugs, coils and leads
- Refurbished magnetos
- Compliance Controls Air/Fuel Ratio systems
- Catalyst systems
- Installation/repair of other products Spartan Controls supplies to the Oil and Gas Industry, including:
- Murphy and REMVue shutdown/control panels
- Regulators, valves, transmitters and other final control elements and end devices
- Interfacing with internal and external customers
- Participating in our 7/24 on call rotation
Qualifications and Skills
- Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanic preferred
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Strong problem solving ability
- Strong customer service habits and practices
- Additional certification and engine experience an asset
