Description
The Automation Support Centre in Calgary has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to work on projects relating to our Power Ignition & Controls (“PIC”) business unit. Reporting to the Manager, Automation Support Centre, the successful candidate will lead a team to provide integrated control system and instrumentation solutions to our customers, and support our product lines and services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, functionality, and customer expectations
- Working with the customer to understand and ensure compliance with all applicable customer engineering and safety standards, practices, procedures, plant documentation
- requirements and methods of installation
- Managing the maintenance of project records
- Planning and managing internal and external resources and third party alliances
- Managing the delivery of engineering design, configuration, integration, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and startup services
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or graduate from an accredited Technological Institute
- 5-10 years project management experience
- Knowledge of compression industry regulations, standards and practices
- Broad understanding of instrumentation and control technology experience with common engineering tools and work processes
- Experience with PLC systems and system integration
- Extensive technical background in natural gas compressor applications
- Familiarity with Air/Fuel Ratio Control and Diagnostics an asset
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong negotiating and communication skills
- Extensive and exceptional customer service practices
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
