Description
We are seeking an Application Engineering individual for our VMS Project Group in Calgary. In this Inside Sales role, the successful candidate will work with Outside Sales and Application Engineering staff to convert Spartan Valve & Measurement Solution opportunities into orders, and will report to the Manager, Application Engineering.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming customer inquiries or requests for technical quotations to meet the full application and service needs of the customer
- Develop technical solutions best suited to meet customer requirements, standards and/or costs demands
- Provide proactive and regular quote follow-up
- Instrumentation and process engineering, and Project Management
- Technical Sales and Application Solutions
- Equipment and process troubleshooting
- Internal product Support, Communications & Marketing
Qualifications and Skills
- Post Secondary degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering; or equivalent related education and experience
- Familiarity with MS Office programs; Word, Power Point, Excel, Access (preferred, but not a requirement)
- A working knowledge of Process Control hardware and software
- Demonstrated Customer Service and Sales in an industrial environment
- Strong communication, time management and computer skills
- Strong technical problem solving skills
- Excellent office organizational and operational skills
- Detail oriented
- Team player and strong work principles
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
